It was all about cruel control. I sometimes wonder how many parents may have jabbed up just to attend.

I was allowed to meet up with coworkers in bars in SF, but not to enter the office of the company I worked for. This was San Francisco, summer 2022! When I raised my concerns I was told company policy was aligned with state laws - which at the time finally had no vax requirements at bars or restaurants.

I met a British girl while we were each hosteling in France in 1973 and because she said "sure!" to my suggestion we team up and hitchhike together, fate eventually gave me my son who is my life's treasure. So you could say I owe her everything.
She is a kidney patient and endured many years of dialysis and that provides patients only a sort of half-life. At the end of 2014 she received a kidney transplant and got her life back. For the first time in a decade she started to enjoy eating again.
When The Plague hit, she was quite concerned and was looking forward to getting the vax and asked if I intended to get it too. I told her no.
She tolerated the first dose but felt really ill after the second one. She then collapsed at home and had to be revived three times from cardiac arrest before the EMTs could transport her to the hospital. She lost the kidney due to massive internal bleeding and was hospitalized for months. For months every morning I dreaded checking my email in case her sister might've sent me a very very bad update. There were several times during her first hospitalization when her family expected her to die. The doctors were sometimes surprised to find her alive the following morning but she's never been the kind who gives up.
Now, she, the most independent and strongest person I know, has carers coming in daily. She has a hospital bed in her dining room because she can't get upstairs anymore. She can't have her middle-aged son, who is severely disabled and lives in a group home, come for weekend stays any longer and both of them are very unhappy about that.
I believe the vax destroyed her life. I don't know what she thinks about it because it ain't such a nice topic of conversation to have with anyone who lost just about everything that makes life worth living. We are in touch very rarely because she has so many daily challenges (many other health issues too) that there isn't much energy left over to email. I don't want to keep bothering her family for updates so I just send birthday and holiday greetings as the dates come around and hope not to get a very bad update sort of reply.
I will never forgive. Maybe the vax didn't do it. I think it did. I will never forgive.
I had a very good friend develop severe bruising on the kidneys (post 3x vax), which manifested into Rhabdomyolysis-like symptoms. He doesn't run or do much activity. Doc blamed it on Dehydration. Sure buddy. Your friend, like many others got hosed by the Medical mafia. Ugh!
When someone gets a kidney transplant from a deceased donor, your joy at their renewed life is tempered by knowledge of the grief of someone else's family. It is such a precious gift. To have had it trashed by the geniuses of science is so much additional bitterness.

My Commander and associated felines, I really have too many. From being banned from family functions (still happening) to job related issues ( I haven't worked in 4 years now, guess why) I got CVD from a family member who was in the car sniffling and coughing, for a half hour ( a desperate request for a ride from the airport) they were fully vaxxed, boosted, tested negative 3 times. I used the Ivermectin protocol and it was gone in 4 days. I'm grateful for natural immunity. Too many other experiences on the same vein.
But...I do see cracks forming in their righteousness. They are looking for forgiveness. But, I won't forget.
Thirty years back my son reacted badly to a jab. I spent the years since learning about vaxes and viruses and immune systems and fun stuff like that. When Covid hit it was obviously bull dust and just no to jabs. At first it was just masks and distancing, empty shops and closed borders.. Then it was giving your details everywhere. Supposed to log in with your phone. Said I didn't have one and just lied about my name and address. Then I was not allowed to go to cafes, restaurants, cinemas etc. No biggie for me. Then my doctor refused to see me. Then two other doctors refused. Then two dentists and one periodontist. Never liked any of that anyway so I didn't mind too much. Then I wasn't allowed to buy alcohol. That got my attention.
Then my son got kicked out of university and my husband lost his job. 95% of jobs in my state were mandated so no work for us. We cashed in our investments meant for retirement about 15 years before we were meant to. That hurt. My best friend, jabbed, had the worst manic attack I had ever witnessed. Her bi-polar had been stable for decades. She is still off with the pixies years later. My perfectly healthy mother got turbo dementia. She doesn't know me anymore.
What hurt the most was the government and media abuse. Name calling and nastiness became normal. Stupidity and lies became normal.
Now I don't trust anybody. My family, we don't want to work anymore than we need to for survival. Our work ethic is done. Social contract smashed.
The good bit for me is that we are now a smarter and stronger family. The good bit for you is that you are lucky enough not to live in Western Australia, the true arse end of the earth.
Thankfully I don't have any such horror-stories to share, since (for once) the ineptness of our governement worked in our favour.

These people are not accustomed to being fact checked in honest. 2) They will find some excuse to suspend elections. This is the riskier move but if #1 doesn’t pan out they absolutely will try and suspend the elections b/c they know if they loose they are likely out of power for 10-20 years after what all their party has done to the public the last 3 years.
We should not forget that the virus was so dangerous that the border needed to be closed. We should not forget that while we had to quarantine for days after a positive test result, even if we were asymptomatic, illegals coming over the border could have never undergone the scrutiny of testing that we citizens underwent. They were never subjected to the rules we had to live under. We should never forget that the country with the most advanced health care system in the world suffered casualties (case/fatality ratio) in much higher proportion than less medically advanced countries.
I'm surprised that grandpa Joe didn't immediately re-open teh border after he was sworn in. I'm guessing at that point they were still hoping to sell enough of the public on the covid lies and so that meant keeping the border closed to help sell the illusion.
The Democrats lost at least 9 months (from when Biden was sworn in) of open border activity when they could have easily brought in a few more million so there must have been a reason they didn't have Joe automatically re-open the borders.
Trump had closed it via Executive Order, and in a bit of "turnabout is fair play" lawfare, some interested party (I forget who) was able to use the precedent set by the courts disallowing Trump's Executive Order cancelling DACA for not having a good enough reason to also delay Biden's attempt to rescind Trump's EO closing the border.
Ahhhhh. I am still shocked they didn't let Biden's EO stand. From my understanding most presidential EO's go unchallenged that is when it's an establishment controlled president like we have had between Regan (maybe even as far back as JFK) and Trump. .

I have too many emotions SC to list all the BS that didn't make sense, but the one thing that drove me to tears was my daughter(unjabbed) at SDSU had to stick a swab up her nose every week for all of 2021 to prove that she was healthy to be on campus, while all of her jabbed friends with cold symptoms went to class freely.
I had to walk away from a job I had spent my life working towards. I had to gamble with the financial security of my family. I had to watch our society and institutions taking perverse joy in my misfortune as a result of saying no. The new job I found paid much less and wasn’t what I wanted at all. I had to test weekly to even be let into the building. Made to feel like a criminal fulfilling conditions of my parole.
Yes, I eventually landed in a position which was better for me. I still have a difficult time with all of it though. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive those that put me through that psychological manipulation and shaming campaign.
I'm still very sure the "vaccine" killed my stepmom. She had been having strokes that weren't too serious. Her stupid doctor REOMMENDED she get the shot. She started having more strokes. Then a large, inoperable clot in one elbow. She had a major stroke and passed Nov 15, 2022. Yes, she had pre-existing medical problems. When one of the bad strokes happened in summer 2022, they wouldn't let my dad go and see her inside the hospital. He had to stand outside and see her that way. Yuma gets pretty hot in the summer and my 90-year-old father had to stay outside.
I don’t have a dramatic story, but wanted to chime in about the damage done to small children.
My grandson had just turned 3 when COVID hit. We live in IL, where mask mandates were in place until March 2022. The mandates applied for children over 2 in day care. My grandson, starting at age 3, wore a mask all day, every weekday, for 2 years.
He had just started really talking before masks. He soon developed a very marked stutter. Fortunately, the stutter gradually went away once the masks were gone.
He also now, at age 6, has had anxiety and emotional problems. He is seeing a therapist, my son and daughter-in-law are resisting the idea of medication.
I know that there is no way to prove that the mask hysteria caused his issues now. But it’s impossible for me to believe that the cruelty of forcing a small child to wear a mask all day has nothing to do with the problem. It breaks my heart to see him (and his parents) struggle through this.
Kids often internalise abuse into a feedback-loop of thought of emotion where they (sub/un)consciously try to figure how what they did wrong to make them deserve whatever was done to/happened to them.
Explaining to them and reminding them that it was never their fault in any way, and reinforcing that over time is often what helps them, eventually.
I rarely drink but one night during the lockdown/masking thing, I was in a public venue. The rules (as we were continually reminded on the loudspeakers) is that we were required to keep our masks on at all times except when eating or drinking. We had to put our mask back on in-between sips or bites. I kid you not--Covid only spreads when not eating or drinking apparently.
Anyway, I was enjoying my freedom so much that I had maybe 3 drinks and by the third drink, I was forgetting to quickly put that mask on after each sip. Nobody around me cared because this was right after many people had been vaccinated and were honeymooning in the "safe and effective/you won't get or spread Covid" era. But boy, security at this venue had me in its sights and I was warned about 3 times to put the mask on. For some reason, my significant other, despite trying to help me stay ahead of security, found the whole thing quite amusing. I was very close to being banned for life from this venue.
Edited to add: after reading about some of the disheartening experiences, I feel a bit silly that this story is the only thing I could say. It shows how ludicrous the whole thing was so I'll leave it up anyway.
I missed a connecting flight to see my just born first grandchild, because there was a man who was according to the flight attendant “ taking too long to chew his pretzels” and we had to stay in our seats until the authorities took him off the plane in DFW...so, yes, to the insulting insanity imposed on us. I was on a flight where after announcing there would be no service, to limit use of the lavatory and once in the air, made an announcement every TEN minutes reminding us that if we’re not keeping our masks on we can be put on the “no fly list.”.....so, i totally get your comment.
I will never forget or forgive the vax mandates ordered for new and existing residents at assisted living centers and rest homes. My 92-yr old spry mother in Oklahoma entered an assisted living center and was required to be fully vaxed in order to do so. She had nowhere else to go; coming to my home in another state was not an option. Vertigo set in within months, she fell in the night and cracked her head open. She was found in a pool of blood the next morning, sent to the hospital for 18 staples, released to a rehab center, and then relocated to a rest home where she died fairly quickly. I know what killed her. Damn them all.
I retired from the US Army in 2004 and by 2006 decided I wasn't taking any more vaccines, so when convid hit, the madates started up for the vax. Even my company, which is global, put out communications stating they wanted to "know" your vax status. I ignored all of it because basically, they're throwing crap at the wall and seeing what will stick (People responding with their vax status).
So I just ignored; however, the office "check in" with a newly minted fascist building administrator was a bit different - filling out forms stating we had no symptoms, temp checks, contact tracing questions...... I asked the obvious question - what if I had symptoms and just lied so I could work? Seems pretty clear that's what everyone used to do back in the day.........................
Then the mask mandates for the office - I started with a clear face shield, and that worked for about 6 months or so, OH, and this was after the forced vacation so the company could save $$$; I was forced to take 2 weeks of earned vacation 3 times (6 weeks total) during the initial convid BS. Later the office mask mandates, and I realized not only was it all BS, but wearing the mask made me light headed, got headaches, low energy, etc......... I checked on one of those oxygen sensors you put on your finger and my O2 levels significantly decreased the longer I wore the mask. Went to my (Not anymore) doctor and he basically said "Well, that's interesting, but it's probably just in your head". I used our company's "Work from home" policy to stay away from the office mask mandates and the fascist bldg. administrator. To this day, I'm still working from home about 75% of the time, and my "job" is literally administering servers inside a data center. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get the servers to rack themselves, otherwise, I might not come in at all.
Now I'm not vax'd at all, but my wife (Nurse) was forced to get it, and our daughter, who was still in college at the time, was forced to get it. They both have had the convid 2-3 times at least. IF I got it, and I'm still not entirely certain I did, but lets say I did get it, it lasted 2-3 days, the first day was the worst with the sharp pain in my throat and the "fever chills". I gargled with salt water and the next day on the road to fast recovery. Meanwhile, wife/daughter's symptoms lasted 1-2 weeks, and they've had it at least two more times.
Interestingly, my mom recently died (I'm 57 and she was 80) but we had conversations over the phone about the vax, and she admitted to me that she was scared in the beginning, so she got the shot, and it damn near killed her then; she was bedridden for about a week or so. Thankfully she didn't get any more shots, but I think the damage was done. About a month before she passed, she had a couple of "mini strokes" and had fallen and couldn't remember how she fell or what she was doing. The hospital took some scans and apparently she had developed stage 4 cancer that originated in one of her internal organs and super-rapidly spread to others. That was Aug. of this year; I missed a text conversation with my brother and some other family members talking about her getting checked out at the hospital. My mom was living in AZ and my wife and I live in NC, so not much we could do initially, but we were able to go out there to see her while she was still cognizant, but I'm still a little bitter about the whole vax push.

I think we've always been willing to accept real apologies and welcome them to the "team", but not many are willing to make that jump yet.

When Covid hit it was obviously bull dust and just no to jabs. At first it was just masks and distancing, empty shops and closed borders.. Then it was giving your details everywhere. Supposed to log in with your phone. Said I didn't have one and just lied about my name and address. Then I was not allowed to go to cafes, restaurants, cinemas etc. No biggie for me. Then my doctor refused to see me. Then two other doctors refused. Then two dentists and one periodontist. Never liked any of that anyway so I didn't mind too much. Then I wasn't allowed to buy alcohol. That got my attention.
Then my son got kicked out of university and my husband lost his job. 95% of jobs in my state were mandated so no work for us. We cashed in our investments meant for retirement about 15 years before we were meant to. That hurt. My best friend, jabbed, had the worst manic attack I had ever witnessed. Her bi-polar had been stable for decades. She is still off with the pixies years later. My perfectly healthy mother got turbo dementia. She doesn't know me anymore.
What hurt the most was the government and media abuse. Name calling and nastiness became normal. Stupidity and lies became normal.
Now I don't trust anybody. My family, we don't want to work anymore than we need to for survival. Our work ethic is done. Social contract smashed.
The good bit for me is that we are now a smarter and stronger family. The good bit for you is that you are lucky enough not to live in Western Australia, the true arse end of the earth.
Thankfully I don't have any such horror-stories to share, since (for once) the ineptness of our governement worked in our favour.
Unless the revulsion and sadness felt while seeing presumably sane and normal people wear cloth-masks while driving alone, and hearing doctors insist that "masks stops viruses" even when presented with evidence (labelling on the box of masks f.e.), and other such things.
Can testify to this though: everyone I know who's been jabbed (which is almost everyone I know) has also had Covid at least once.

Most of our PMs when you (someone) make fun of them - which is daily since the worst of them just can't stop "twittering" all the fluffing time - fly into rages and borderline threaten people.
The most prominent one, Annika Strandhäll (Strandhäll means beach-rock) who is a Socialist Democrat feminist, educational/vocational background as haridresser 25 years ago, is now known both inside and outside the party as "Bag-in-box Annika" due to her drunken tweets on pretty much everything.
She's such an embarassment her own party cut her off from all media contact during the run up to the 2022 elections.
Still, she's nothing compared to her predecessor Mona Sahlin, a woman who in order to combat domestic islamic terrorism appointed another woman the merits of whom were a thesis-paper (ungraded) on the production of soda, the whole "anti-terrorism" effort amounting to the "soda-expert" and a phone-number prospective terrorists could call to talk about their feelings.
I'm not kidding.

These people are not accustomed to being fact checked in honest. Until Covid they knew they could walk back and or pretend they did not say or do something if at least enough time passed, say a year, b/c the public’s attention is short. With covid they actively violated every citizens right to bodily autonomy and so people are pissed and in a way that won’t easily go away b/c the covid vaccine is the deadly gift that keeps giving till you die. It's not like past actions these people have been able to walk back or deny with relative ease.
Honestly I'm surprised they haven't forced Weingarten to quit and take the fall so they could sneak another one of her in and claim "this time it will be different", the standard tactic's they use in cases like this. That is exactly what they are going to do to Joe Biden now that things are so bad there is no way of covering it up any more. One day soon we’ll see the 25th used to replace Biden with Harris and dump the blame for everything bad on Biden. Next Harris will name Newsome as her VP. From there it’s a flip as to if Harris will complete the term as president or if she too will find some reason to step down so Newsome can be president without having to run. How does that help[ the Democrats in 2024? One of 2 things WILL happen
1) President Biden/Harris/Newsome will sign an executive order legalizing all the 10’s of millions of illegals they’ve been letting in since Biden took office. This is why they’ve had such an open border policy
2) They will find some excuse to suspend elections. This is the riskier move but if #1 doesn’t pan out they absolutely will try and suspend the elections b/c they know if they loose they are likely out of power for 10-20 years after what all their party has done to the public the last 3 years.
We should not forget that the virus was so dangerous that the border needed to be closed. We should not forget that while we had to quarantine for days after a positive test result, even if we were asymptomatic, illegals coming over the border could have never undergone the scrutiny of testing that we citizens underwent. They were never subjected to the rules we had to live under. We should never forget that the country with the most advanced health care system in the world suffered casualties (case/fatality ratio) in much higher proportion than less medically advanced countries.

I'm surprised that grandpa Joe didn't immediately re-open teh border after he was sworn in. I'm guessing at that point they were still hoping to sell enough of the public on the covid lies and so that meant keeping the border closed to help sell the illusion.
The Democrats lost at least 9 months (from when Biden was sworn in) of open border activity when they could have easily brought in a few more million so there must have been a reason they didn't have Joe automatically re-open the borders.
Trump had closed it via Executive Order, and in a bit of "turnabout is fair play" lawfare, some interested party (I forget who) was able to use the precedent set by the courts disallowing Trump's Executive Order cancelling DACA for not having a good enough reason to also delay Biden's attempt to rescind Trump's EO closing the border.
Ahhhhh. I am still shocked they didn't let Biden's EO stand. From my understanding most presidential EO's go unchallenged that is when it's an establishment controlled president like we have had between Regan (maybe even as far back as JFK) and Trump. .
I don’t really have an egregious personal story of my own, except for watching vaccinated neighbors and acquaintances get very sick or sicker (and one unexplained death) shortly after getting the shots.... and spending the last three or so years watching my country get more and more totalitarian, while government officials censor and surveil us and lie and tell us how great everything is, and then paradoxically blame Covid and Donald Trump for all of the ills (that they say don’t exist) that they themselves have created.
I could go into detail, but I don’t think that it’s necessary. Everyone knows...

I have too many emotions SC to list all the BS that didn't make sense, but the one thing that drove me to tears was my daughter(unjabbed) at SDSU had to stick a swab up her nose every week for all of 2021 to prove that she was healthy to be on campus, while all of her jabbed friends with cold symptoms went to class freely.

I had to walk away from a job I had spent my life working towards. I had to gamble with the financial security of my family. I had to watch our society and institutions taking perverse joy in my misfortune as a result of saying no. The new job I found paid much less and wasn’t what I wanted at all. I had to test weekly to even be let into the building. Made to feel like a criminal fulfilling conditions of my parole.
Were you able to find something better after the insanity passed a little?
Yes, I eventually landed in a position which was better for me. I still have a difficult time with all of it though. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forgive those that put me through that psychological manipulation and shaming campaign.

I'm still very sure the "vaccine" killed my stepmom. She had been having strokes that weren't too serious. Her stupid doctor REOMMENDED she get the shot. She started having more strokes. Then a large, inoperable clot in one elbow. She had a major stroke and passed Nov 15, 2022. Yes, she had pre-existing medical problems. When one of the bad strokes happened in summer 2022, they wouldn't let my dad go and see her inside the hospital. He had to stand outside and see her that way. Yuma gets pretty hot in the summer and my 90-year-old father had to stay outside.

I don’t have a dramatic story, but wanted to chime in about the damage done to small children.
My grandson had just turned 3 when COVID hit. We live in IL, where mask mandates were in place until March 2022. The mandates applied for children over 2 in day care. My grandson, starting at age 3, wore a mask all day, every weekday, for 2 years.
He had just started really talking before masks. He soon developed a very marked stutter. Fortunately, the stutter gradually went away once the masks were gone.
He also now, at age 6, has had anxiety and emotional problems. He is seeing a therapist, my son and daughter-in-law are resisting the idea of medication.
I know that there is no way to prove that the mask hysteria caused his issues now. But it’s impossible for me to believe that the cruelty of forcing a small child to wear a mask all day has nothing to do with the problem. It breaks my heart to see him (and his parents) struggle through this.
Heartbreaking.
Kids often internalise abuse into a feedback-loop of thought of emotion where they (sub/un)consciously try to figure how what they did wrong to make them deserve whatever was done to/happened to them.
Explaining to them and reminding them that it was never their fault in any way, and reinforcing that over time is often what helps them, eventually.

I rarely drink but one night during the lockdown/masking thing, I was in a public venue. The rules (as we were continually reminded on the loudspeakers) is that we were required to keep our masks on at all times except when eating or drinking. We had to put our mask back on in-between sips or bites. I kid you not--Covid only spreads when not eating or drinking apparently.
Anyway, I was enjoying my freedom so much that I had maybe 3 drinks and by the third drink, I was forgetting to quickly put that mask on after each sip. Nobody around me cared because this was right after many people had been vaccinated and were honeymooning in the "safe and effective/you won't get or spread Covid" era. But boy, security at this venue had me in its sights and I was warned about 3 times to put the mask on. For some reason, my significant other, despite trying to help me stay ahead of security, found the whole thing quite amusing. I was very close to being banned for life from this venue.
Edited to add: after reading about some of the disheartening experiences, I feel a bit silly that this story is the only thing I could say. It shows how ludicrous the whole thing was so I'll leave it up anyway.

I missed a connecting flight to see my just born first grandchild, because there was a man who was according to the flight attendant “ taking too long to chew his pretzels” and we had to stay in our seats until the authorities took him off the plane in DFW...so, yes, to the insulting insanity imposed on us. I was on a flight where after announcing there would be no service, to limit use of the lavatory and once in the air, made an announcement every TEN minutes reminding us that if we’re not keeping our masks on we can be put on the “no fly list.”.....so, i totally get your comment.
I will never forget or forgive the vax mandates ordered for new and existing residents at assisted living centers and rest homes. My 92-yr old spry mother in Oklahoma entered an assisted living center and was required to be fully vaxed in order to do so. She had nowhere else to go; coming to my home in another state was not an option. Vertigo set in within months, she fell in the night and cracked her head open. She was found in a pool of blood the next morning, sent to the hospital for 18 staples, released to a rehab center, and then relocated to a rest home where she died fairly quickly. I know what killed her. Damn them all.
This is literally the stuff that makes people 'terrorists'.

I retired from the US Army in 2004 and by 2006 decided I wasn't taking any more vaccines, so when convid hit, the madates started up for the vax. Even my company, which is global, put out communications stating they wanted to "know" your vax status. I ignored all of it because basically, they're throwing crap at the wall and seeing what will stick (People responding with their vax status).
So I just ignored; however, the office "check in" with a newly minted fascist building administrator was a bit different - filling out forms stating we had no symptoms, temp checks, contact tracing questions...... I asked the obvious question - what if I had symptoms and just lied so I could work? Seems pretty clear that's what everyone used to do back in the day.........................
Then the mask mandates for the office - I started with a clear face shield, and that worked for about 6 months or so, OH, and this was after the forced vacation so the company could save $$$; I was forced to take 2 weeks of earned vacation 3 times (6 weeks total) during the initial convid BS. Later the office mask mandates, and I realized not only was it all BS, but wearing the mask made me light headed, got headaches, low energy, etc......... I checked on one of those oxygen sensors you put on your finger and my O2 levels significantly decreased the longer I wore the mask. Went to my (Not anymore) doctor and he basically said "Well, that's interesting, but it's probably just in your head". I used our company's "Work from home" policy to stay away from the office mask mandates and the fascist bldg. administrator. To this day, I'm still working from home about 75% of the time, and my "job" is literally administering servers inside a data center. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get the servers to rack themselves, otherwise, I might not come in at all.
Now I'm not vax'd at all, but my wife (Nurse) was forced to get it, and our daughter, who was still in college at the time, was forced to get it. They both have had the convid 2-3 times at least. IF I got it, and I'm still not entirely certain I did, but lets say I did get it, it lasted 2-3 days, the first day was the worst with the sharp pain in my throat and the "fever chills". I gargled with salt water and the next day on the road to fast recovery. Meanwhile, wife/daughter's symptoms lasted 1-2 weeks, and they've had it at least two more times.
Interestingly, my mom recently died (I'm 57 and she was 80) but we had conversations over the phone about the vax, and she admitted to me that she was scared in the beginning, so she got the shot, and it damn near killed her then; she was bedridden for about a week or so. Thankfully she didn't get any more shots, but I think the damage was done. About a month before she passed, she had a couple of "mini strokes" and had fallen and couldn't remember how she fell or what she was doing. The hospital took some scans and apparently she had developed stage 4 cancer that originated in one of her internal organs and super-rapidly spread to others. That was Aug. of this year; I missed a text conversation with my brother and some other family members talking about her getting checked out at the hospital. My mom was living in AZ and my wife and I live in NC, so not much we could do initially, but we were able to go out there to see her while she was still cognizant, but I'm still a little bitter about the whole vax push.
