I’m working on a longer article for later today or early tomorrow, but the news that Kamala Harris has tapped Tim Walz to be VP certainly deserves some attention and conversation:
I don’t know much about Walz - mostly that he was ‘in charge’ as rioters burned Minneapolis during the summer of 2020. (And threatened to in 2021 for the Chauvin verdict.)
Then there was this from the “White Dudes for Harris” call last week:
The key line here is:
"Don't ever shy away from our progressive values. One person's socialism is another person's neighborliness."
Of course, this ignores the real difference between socialism and neighborliness: consent. I encourage everybody to be neighborly, but I don’t want to punish them if they aren’t. It’s not friendliness I object to — it’s FORCE.
Edit — Independent video editor Maze once again comes through, digging up this clip of Walz discussing the 2020 riots just before the Chauvin decision is handed down:
Edit — This doesn’t look good AT ALL.
Edit — video from tonight’s rally. Does this guy know which party he’s in?
Edit -- added another video dug up by video wiz Maze!
Edit 2 -- Added a tweet from Walz offering $200 for parents to jab their children. Yikes.
Edit 3 -- video from tonight's rally with Walz laughably claiming "In Minnesota we respect our neighbors and their personal choices that they make. Even if we wouldn't make the same choice for ourselves, there's a golden rule, mind your own damn business."
He is my governor. He assumed dictatorial control during "covid", then was apparently awarded triumvirate control in 22. First thing, made mn a trans refuge state. Second, abortion on demand any time any reason even after. Used 18bil surplus to grease friends and give "free" health care, food and housing to migrants. Quit the national guard so he wouldn't have to go to Afghanistan. Wants mn a migrant refuge state, also wants State to be able to influence you to kill yourself. And he changed the flag to reflect his autocratic impulse. https://williamhunterduncan.substack.com/p/minnesota-one-party-blue-rule?utm_source=publication-search
