Greetings, Screamers! Hope that everybody’s having a great weekend! With all the ridiculously heavy stuff going on, I took a little mental break from the madness the last couple days, but now my need to write has overtaken the need to retreat, so I want to talk a little in this article about self defense.
Yesterday, President Biden was out making a fool of himself in a speech to the Human Rights Campaign while relentlessly pushing his gun control narrative:
Stupid comments like “100 rounds in the chamber” aside, I always find it incredibly disingenuous when ‘authorities’ who are constantly surrounded by armed protection tell us that a gun’s only purpose is to kill people. If Biden were actually afraid of guns, he would order the Secret Service disarmed tomorrow — but of course he’s NOT afraid of guns, only “the wrong people” having guns.
He, and other gun control advocates, fail to mention that the “bad guys” don’t care about the rules and manage to acquire guns anyway — guns which are then used to slaughter the disarmed. We can’t wave a magic wand and make guns disappear — and we shouldn’t even if we could, as we’d simply be reverting back to the strong physically beating up and robbing the weak. Last week’s terrible massacre in gun-control-heavy Israel is a chilling reminder that government can’t actually keep you safe when the shit hits the fan. At least the country is finally starting to understand who the first line of defense is:
It’s more than a little bizarre to me that a country surrounded by enemies doesn’t have an armed citizenry, but that’s none of my business……….
Ultimately, even if the police are on-site, they have no duty to actually protect you or your family. (At least in the USA) This is not a conspiracy theory or the wild ramblings of a madman — it’s simply settled law.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that the protection of you and your family is the most important issue in your life — and it’s vital to take that responsibility seriously. Determine what type of defense you are comfortable using, then practice using it. Responsible firearm safety (or other defense mechanism safety) is extremely important, because when the adrenaline is rushing through your system you don’t want to THINK about what to do next — you want to just do it.
Because who knows what’s on the horizon? Our administration sure doesn’t.
It’s times like this that I’m betting that even Democrats wish they had closed the country’s southern border. How does government expect to keep track of people when they’ve been streaming over the border like this for nearly three years at this point?
The answer is that government was never planning on keeping track of these people — which means we literally don’t know how many “America haters” have simply walked over the border into our country. Spiting ex-President Trump was more important than real-life national security, so now we have none.
For sure, most of those people are as harmless as the Average Joe Q. Public. But it only takes a very small percentage of a very large number to form a dedicated group who could do some real damage across the country. (Luckily, we didn’t see anything like that on the supposed ‘Day of Jihad’ this last Friday.)
So while the US government is arming basically everybody else in the world (sometimes “for freedom”), they’re ignoring our own security. Imagine a father who hears an intruder late at night and grabs the home’s only gun……..then heads over to protect his neighbor’s house, leaving his own family defenseless. That’s Uncle Sam.
And of course, there’s the most important reason to be anti-gun control……..
