Dunno why the caption refuses to move into the center. Maybe it's a protest aimed at raising awareness about society's expectations about captions and their physical placement in relation to the picture -- ALWAYS BELOW. Did you even think about that before now? No, because you're racist.

Edit: The caption is once again conforming to society's norms.

Fact check : FALSE!

Society has always accepted captions in multiple locations.

Also, happy anniversary! ✊

FALSE: captions have not always existed, ergo society has not always accepted them.

Well you're both wrong, because society is a false construct based on

Obviously, captions are a new Democrat gaslight, and I think we need to worry that they are targeting our host!

Timothy, are you serious? The idea upsets me.

Expand full comment

Sorry, Denise. I tend to joke about that which upsets me, too, but I don't think our host is the type to fall victim to any type of gaslighting, even were it a reality, which, in the case of captioning anyway, it is not.

I like the symbolism of everything moving from left to right. The center is for indecisive wimps.

Thank you for this notice.

No, not offended, just grateful for generous friends.

Thank you Denise for this.

I have a crazy life here. Still living in "the big house", girls married and gone

taking care of my dad (98) and grateful for my hubbs.

We are living in a crazy era.

How many of any of you, to all of you, have been "banned" by family

and quietly "shunned" by a few friends?

I am in No Va and it is a sad life. I have not seen my younger daughters' grand kids since the end of April. Lizzie's husband is a control freak.

Anyway, I am grateful and thank you Timothy.

I feel honored to be a paid subscriber now with your gift.

I've lost more than a few friends that I thought were amazing people. But I don't despair, because it turns out those people would have turned in Anne Frank.

Now I'm replacing those people with freedom-oriented friends, like yourself! I just wish I was closer so we could get together and have some laughs!

Unfortunately, ‘infection’ has become conflated with ‘disease’ (symptoms) - causing confusion. No vaccine prevents infection (this being a virus entering an individual) as they do not create force fields around people. (Vaccination is a way of infecting people with a benign form of a pathogen - also called inoculation. The first ‘vaccination’ was done by INFECTING a person with pus taken from a Chickenpox pustule to immunise them against Smallpox.) Our natural immune response is to recognise infection by a virus and prevent it developing into disease. This depends on a number of factors, primarily the state of the immune system, and the the virus. The immune response is much quicker, more effective if it has met the virus before either by natural infection or inoculation via vaccine. This response can take days during which time the individual can be infectious. An effective vaccine, by prepping the immune system, reduces the time of its response, which means the virus is quickly overwhelmed before it can fully develop into disease (although some mild symptoms may be present)... but whilst the fight goes on, the individual is still infectious - and can transmit the virus - albeit the viral load shedded will be smaller and for a much shorter time. The claim of 95% effectiveness was (deliberately) very misleading. It is clear most people understand that to mean reduces ‘infections’ by 95%: that it not true. The 95% is RISK reduction in getting disease. So it does not mean that if 100 people are vaccinated only 5 will get CoVid, it means the RISK of CoVid in each individual is reduced to 5%, but all 100 could still get it. Vaccines do not/cannot prevent transmission but it can reduce transmission RATES just as so-called herd immunity does. The more people immune (natural or vaccinated) means the virus cannot easily find enough hosts to reproduce at a rate needed to be successful. Since the mRNA ju-ju do not provide immunity, it certainly cannot reduce transmission rates. Claims it reduces severity of disease, still await corroborative data.

Expand full comment

I thought the first vaccine used cows, not chickens, thus the word "vaccine" which has its roots in the Latin for bovine.

Excellent summary of infection vs. disease, and just what a "vaccine" is, which is why the word "vaccine" should never have been used. Instead, I believe it was used intentionally to deceive the public.

And, yes, "immunity," whatever *that* means, *was* promised, which was also part of the Statist trial run at population control, i.e. the Fascism of mandates and lockdowns, which were *never* warranted, but oh, so loved by anti-Capitalists (today's Fascist Democrats, in general).

And I think you should give yourself another chance with a slow read of M. John's post.

Expand full comment

That won’t help me……I know my limitations…..sometimes I just have to wait for the video. Sometimes my brain just goes into tilt mode. John was great, don’t misunderstand.

Expand full comment

Yes, lying about the definition of 'vaccine' led to the completely idiotic argument that 'You need vaccines to do other things', as if anything is a real vaccine if you just call it one.

Expand full comment

John……Huh? Bottom line, should anyone have gotten shot……..and, yes, I am just that thick……..now, be kind, John, I can’t understand charts and graphs either. That’s why I cheat……yes, I said cheat. When I read an analysis like yours, I start out thinking I’m going to understand…….never do……..so I go to the last sentence and I think you still don’t think the shots provide what they say they do.

Right? Thanks, John.

Expand full comment

I have not had the CoVid vaccines because although bring 69 I am higher risk, I do not believe I am at any more risk than from Cold or Influenza. I did not believe the product would be effective because there are no effective vaccines for respiratory viruses after decades of research. I considered the mRNA products experimental with no safety information and therefore potentially a danger to my health. So no, the mRNA shots do not stop disease, and therefore do not stop transmission, there is no data to support they make the disease less severe. Worse, these products are causing thousands of deaths and injury, particularly in younger people.

Keeping up with at least some events and not go total Kaczynski-style bonkers is taxing, but as some bard said: "It is a comfort in wretchedness to have companions in woe" (though I think he meant it differently).

Maybe "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" is more apt? And given the last years, can we really blame those who make like snails and just ducks into their shells whenever something challenges their perception?

Anyways, happy Stack-day (?)!

Expand full comment

If I were a snail, I would find a tortoise shell to duck into.

But those snails *are* to blame, just like not voting will not make the Democrats stop their one-party-security-State wet dreams.

Expand full comment

In a way, yes of course theyare to blame for not thinking, not being skeptical of the (to us) obvious too good to be true-fairy tales of vaccines being made ready in months, and so on.

But in another way, they are victims of having their - fully reasonable, morally wise - trust betrayed. The more implicit and intrinsic trust between people in a society and in society itself, the better it is.

I think maybe they are easier to reach and sway if one is sympthetic and helps kead them to the waters of realisation that they have been reamed, flensed and sold by their elected officials and the modern clergy of media?

Expand full comment

Yes, their trust has been totally betrayed.

And their response is to run and hide?!

They need to FIGHT. They need to take back their wayward society.

You reach them with compassion, and good luck (sincerely). I will have compassion for them when they get over their butt-hurt and join the fight to reclaim our birthright of Classical Liberalism.

It’s not true until it’s been debunked by fact checkers. I think they’re starting to realize that. This was two days after the hearing and that video had been circulating all over the internet for at least a day.

Did you ever see the movie "The Mummy" from 1999?

The character Beni, that's the fact checkers. When Imhotep threatens him, he rattles off various prayers fiddling with magical pendants from one religion after the other until he picks one old enough for Imhotep to recognise.

So for Beni (factcheckers) truth and meaning and so on has only ever utilitarian value, no intrinsic or spiritual or even a humanist or humane one. And for Imhotep, Beni has value only as a tool, something Beni doesn't realise.

And what people in power do with worn-out or broken tools is something fact-checkers will start to learn if they cannot turn their coats fast enough.
