Good news! After the plumbing emergency that turned into a major construction project, the light is visible at the end of the tunnel and I should be able to resume ‘regular’ posting very soon.

In the meantime, we’re coming up on the one-year anniversary of the paid option (which is basically a tip jar) for Screaming into the Void. Many of you signed up the very first day (gratitude!), so this means you’ve only got a few days before you’re charged for another year. Substack supposedly sends out ‘warnings’ about future billing, but since I don’t recall ever getting such a warning, I’m highlighting the issue here. If you want to continue with your subscription (and hopefully you do), AWESOME! If not, now is the time to pull the plug!

Paid subscriptions allow me to set aside more time to focus on writing, and perhaps start doing this full-time! (That’s the dream, and although we’re nowhere near that goal yet, it IS visible on the horizon!) Eventually I’d even like to start doing some on-the-ground type work as well. But free subscribers can help in that goal as well! Sharing articles with your friends and continuing to participate in the community are vital parts of our growth, too!

In awesome news, Tracy Høeg and Laura Powell (among others?) finally got their hearing regarding AB 2098 — the “misinformation” bill in California that punishes doctors for daring to contradict the approved narrative.
