With the national political stage more or less holding its breath before next week’s debate, there hasn’t been too much to Scream about on that front. Today, I decided what I want to write about next (civil asset forfeiture), but that article won’t be out until tomorrow.
That provides the perfect opportunity for an open thread!

How do I wish to Scream?? Let me count the ways….
1] the bullshit smearing of Vance by the AP ( a wire service btw) by splicing and dicing his comments about the Georgia shooting

3) Biden for the umpteenth time misquoting Trump about suckers and losers.And screaming about his son dying in Iraq…what annoys me most about this is that he keeps referencing the Burn Pits that caused his son’s cancer… has this been established?? Shit, it took the government 40 years to acknowledge Agent Orange… we have an 84 year old Army Vietnam Vet neighbor , who just finally 18 months ago received notice that his claim would be honored..
4) and then the Cheneys…. Have the Democrats taken the room temp on those two? Beside the “never Trump “ elites in DC is there anyone who respects or cares for these two war mongering ass coverers?? It’s actually more sinister than the Kennedy Kids turning against their brother because they might lose their paycheck from the DNC….
5) I hold the media in contempt of the citizens of this country,,, who the EFF do they think they are?? And I can say for certainty , if the players were reversed and the media was lying and manipulating the news to promote Republican and their whatever lunacy platform I would be just as pissed!! So to quote from one of my post divorce favorite movies…SOMETHING’S GOT TO GIVE!!
I’m two cocktails in (The Last Word: The Official Cocktail of Social Media) so I only have heartwarming dog stories and maybe a couple of hiccups. Within the past 24 hours, on two separate dog walks: a young man in a white sports car slowed down beside us to ask, in apparent seriousness, if my dog was Ghost from Game of Thrones (spoiler alert: he is a yellow lab-husky mix with the IQ of lichen who grew up under a porch in West Virginia, not a wise otherworldly eldritch being) and a cougar-ish lady in a cobalt-blue Mustang convertible pulled to the curb just to tell me what a beautiful dog I had. She might have been a little tipsy.
