Remember how I said my favorite part of Presidents Day is how the government takes the day off? Joe Biden can’t even manage that, as he made a “surprise” visit to Ukraine (but not to Ohio) in order to assure the world that we’ll continue throwing good money after bad in an attempt to kick off WWIII.
And even though the White House actually tipped off Russia that Biden would be in the area, the temptation to “Hollywood” up the trip was too much to resist for an actor like Zelensky:
So although there was no actual danger (as further evidenced by the complete lack of urgency of people on the street), the media dutifully reported the “news”:
What Ukraine really needs in these trying times is Mark Hamill to play Luke Skywalker in a Star Wars-themed air raid app! Check and check. America, fuck yeah!
Meanwhile, Washington Generals of the Uniparty star Mitch McConnell is reassuring the world that even though some members of the Republican party are suggesting turning off the money-laundering scheme in Ukraine, the people who matter are all-in.
It doesn’t matter what the people want, it only matters what the leaders want! (Democracy!) It’s surprising that McConnell would come right out and phrase it this way, but I guess the masks (and gloves) are off at this point.
McConnell’s remarks managed to get even worse.
A competent journalist would use this time to press McConnell about how, exactly, America’s security and economy are intertwined (other than by the massive money laundering scheme and biolabs).
Obviously, this didn’t happen.
The best president we never had was also hard at work on Presidents Day weekend, giving a speech at the Rage Against the War Machine rally held in Washington DC.
Other notable names in attendance included Tulsi Gabbard and Dennis Kucinich. Of course, all these people have been canceled by the “experts” and must be mocked relentlessly, even by socialists who used to be against World War III.
(I don’t want to dunk on random commenters too much, but take a look at what they’re saying on that comment thread:)
Socialists for Big Pharma!
After a month of dragging his feet on the promise to make 1/6 videos available to the public, Kevin McCarthy has instead given the footage to Tucker Carlson.
While this is a positive step in that SOMEBODY will be able to see the footage, this is not what McCarthy promised and not what the country needs. Half the country will dismiss anything that comes out of Tucker’s mouth, and many of the rest of us aren’t too enamored with him, either. (I won’t forgive him for bailing out on the Rally for the Republic.)
Just recently we’ve seen video showing Ray Epps WAS on Capitol grounds (weirdly, the video given to the 1/6 committee “glitches” as it happens). Eagle-eyed observers have also caught him pushing huge signs at police. What else would we see if we were allowed to watch the entire collection of footage?
After dropping the most dramatic bombshell story of its existence, Project Veritas committed public suicide by removing James O’Keefe from his role at the company, prompting this video documenting the situation:
Project Veritas released a statement about the issue, claiming O’Keefe spent too much money on Uber trips and other expenses.
The public’s reaction to PV’s statement was immediate. Before this mess started, PV had just over 1,470,000 Twitter followers. That number is just about to dip under 1,200,000 — a drop of almost 20%. (You can follow along here!)
Let’s end the day with a Bonnie video! (Yes, she’s back!) I think I woke her up today
I had to stop the video at that point because that’s how she demands to be picked up and snuggled. 😻😻😻
You know the thing? That thing? Come on, man! Yep, Sleazy Joe is a walking disaster.
SC - "that’s how she demands to be picked up and snuggled."
Thanks for making my day, this is the way. Bring that darn cat in.
