The thing is--there's no one in Washington who doesn't know Commuter Joe was filthy as they come. I bet the number of people envious of his enterprise is legion. The only real work of the DC elite is making money for themselves and their friends and relations.

So you think an impeachment will go anywhere? The Republicans really in power were hoping the Democrats would finish off Trump for good the first couple of times. That guy can never shake the stink of being a builder from Queens.

So what do we, the outraged citizenry, do about all of this? Each and every one of our elected representatives is somewhere, somehow complicit in varying degrees of graft, grift and the more delicate forms of corruption. You get right down to it, people still want their bright college grad to get recommended for an internship somewhere. You know that old truism--people hate Congress but they love their own Congressslug.

We can be as mad about this on Substack as ever we want to be. Should we buy up lanterns at yard sales and go looking for them honest men?

Totally agree. The reason Republicans don't want to rock the boat here is because a lot of them have set up the same or similar schemes. They'll move to impeach Biden the moment he decides to not run in 2024, then the Republicans will claim victory and consider the entire matter settled.

As for what we can do about it.......that's the million dollar question.

I wonder how long Substack would last if we all became citizen investigators, sharing info as was and continues to be done about The Plague. For Them that was, in the scheme of things, small potatoes. Let the children have their fun 'n all that.

But if we really started upturning every little rock under which Swamp Thing spawns?

It’s the entire system. Once we allowed government (with the accompanying funding) to be involved in everything, corruption was bound to follow. And yes, they are all involved in corruption to varying degrees. It is impossible to get to the top of this system while being as pure as the driven snow.

How did it come to this? To “protect” us, of course. Safetyism taken (almost) to the nth degree. Almost the nth degree because with “climate change” and “domestic terrorism” they are planning to take this to a whole new level.

The only way back to freedom is to dismantle the entire government structure that “protects” us and is “only there to look out for our best interests”. It cannot be done while every cultural institution promotes victimhood as a virtue.

Dismantling the public unions stranglehold on our education system is the place to start the long journey back.

I would put forth the "Party like it's 1999" bill:

1. Restore Glass-Steagall exactly as it was and break up any institutions which it prohibits.

2. Repeal every single sentence of the Patriot Act.

3. Dismantle the Dept. of Homeland Security.

4. Restore prohibition on Big Pharma television ads

A lot more people are getting involved. Apathy only survives in prosperous times. If Biden-flation destroys a lot of middle class wealth then the apathy will vanish.

Whether they’ll admit it or not or like it or not, they do better in most (certainly not all) Republican states. They just hate that they can’t have abortion up to birth (as in NM), or shut down oil & gas that funds 50% of this shit hole government (as in NM), totally comply & virtue signal about WuFlu w/ every tyrannical “mandate” for jabs/masks/distancing/closures/lockdowns (as in NM) & every other lunatic left policy they love.

Do you ever wonder what they have against children?? Watching the shenanigans after Roe v. Wade was reversed was unreal! Those girls (can't exactly call them young ladies - they don't seem to be.) have no idea what they are demanding and thinking they want. Of course, if they were mature enough to figure it out themselves, they probably wouldn't want it.

Expand full comment

I truly don’t understand the assault on children re abortion or tranny crap, teaching critical race theory & all the rest. Given everything out there now about human trafficking & child sex trafficking in particular, rampant kiddy porn in high places (Epstein & his ilk) w/ prominent “clients” all over the world, & abortion up to birth & infanticide after, it’s much bigger than just Wuhan-Grisham’s abortion tourist industry here.

The Roe decision created hysteria w/ imbeciles that called it “banning abortion” when all it did was return the decision on abortion to the individual states, where it has always belonged. Live in a state that doesn’t allow it or only up to so many weeks? Move, or travel to a state that allows it if you want one.

I hadn't thought of it that way. I have watched the voting during the last two years of the legislation sessions to see who voted for what. Not even close. Sometimes they were slowed down but we still got stuck with all manner of revolting new laws.

While you're in there if it's possible to do a search for the name "Jessica Hertz" it might prove to be worthwhile. She's a lawyer and behaviorist/propagandist, a Cass Sunstein (another name to look for) protege and a part of VP Biden's staff. Sunstein's wife is Samantha Power (another name to look for), current USAID Director and color revolution specialist, lawyer and behaviorist/propagandist herself. Jessica Hertz was neck deep in the censorship of Hunter Biden's laptop from social media, having been at Facebook leading regulatory and government affairs (lawyer overlooking coordination with government directives) AND Biden's transition team during October, 2020, through the beginning of the administration, selecting personnel for key positions and then becoming Staff Secretary, arguably the most powerful position in an administration (John Podesta held it under Clinton), when the big tech and social media censorship orders came out from the top of the administration - where she was.

These are names that if associated with the content in those emails will lead to other trails worth exploring.

I was raised in the suburbs of Washington D.C. , in Maryland. As the Civil War was beginning, Maryland took a vote on secession and the Speaker of the House emerged to tell the waiting crowds the results. On nothing that Lincoln had ordered Federal troops to surround the State House, he turned around, went inside, and emerged a few minutes later and announced that, on sober reflection, they had voted not to secede.

Although today Maryland is reliably Democrat in statewide races, in the fifties and sixties it was pure redneck country.

Did you see the "interview" between Philip Bump of WaPo and a liberal podcaster who dared to ask him about Biden? The ending is what really caught people's attention. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYto2Rf_xcg

They keep claiming that Biden didn't commit a crime; however, the problem for them is neither did Trump. His was a single "suspicious" phone call. Biden has more than one single suspicious event.

I doubt Congress will really do anything, but I keep hoping each one of these is one more straw on the camel's back with the public.
