After much hand-wringing and complaining from Democratic leaders about how Donald Trump wasn’t welcome in New York, Trump appeared in the South Bronx today for a well-attended rally. (I guess maybe he was a little more welcome than AOC thought — shocker.)
In recent weeks, Trump has focused on blue areas — forcing the mainstream media to steadfastly ignore the fact that Trump draws better in these areas than Biden does. This blue area strategy is partly because of the ‘ankle bracelet’ line of attack that’s kept Trump near New York City during the week — call it political jujitsu that turns a potential weakness into an opportunity. The images of crowds thronging to Trump rallies paints quite a contrast to Biden’s public appearances.
Trump took the stage just before 6:30 local time, promising to ‘turn around’ New York City once he takes office once again. Trump recounted some of New York’s history before lamenting the city’s recent downturn — a downturn he predictably blamed on the “incompetent” Biden administration.
The former president launched into a story about a local ice skating rink, stating he was the one who finally got it completed — not in 10 years, but in 3 months. Trump then brought up his New York trial, to a cascade of boos from the crowd, before pivoting to another story of completing a local golf course that the city spent nearly three decades trying to finish. (The city tried to terminate Trump’s contract due to 1/6, but ultimately failed.)
Trump brought up the upcoming CNN debate, insinuating the network won’t be fair and will declare Biden’s debate performance as exceptional. (Side note: it looks like the candidates will be standing up during this debate.)
Next, Trump attacked Biden’s foreign policy, focusing on the withdrawal from Afghanistan. After a couple of potshots about Biden not being able to find the stairs, Trump notes that you have to be at the top of your game to deal with foreign leaders.
Trump proclaimed that now he knows the players in DC, and he will ignore the people who tried to sabotage his first administration — and he’ll recreate the solid economy that Biden has ruined. He then noted that illegal immigration effects minorities the most. (To chants of “Build the Wall”) Trump picked up on this energy and recounted the story of how the Biden administration sold off parts of the wall that were ready to be installed.
The former president then told the tale of negotiating with the Mexican government to implement Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy. (Trump threatened to put tariffs on Mexican products.) Trump contrasted this to the recent Mexican demand of $20 billion annually to deal with the border.
Inflation was Trump’s next target, which he called “Biden’s price hike.” Trump then promised tax cuts and opening up American energy markets. (Trump promised energy costs would drop 50% — a dubious claim in my opinion.) Trump then touted the fact he was the first president in 78 years not to start a war — in contrast to the media proclaiming a Trump presidency would lead to more war. Trump then hammered the establishment for the war in Iraq, a move that ultimately led to the rise of Iran. He then brought up the Hamas/Israel war, claiming the situation wouldn’t have happened if the 2020 election wasn’t stolen.
Trump then launched into a segment about success (you’ve gotta work hard for it) and how his father taught him the value of hard work. At this point, Trump paused to allow medical professionals to tend to a member of the crowd. (Smart move.)
When the rally resumed, Trump highlighted his work ethic and determination to fight through the attacks from his political enemies. He then claimed with the campaign’s current momentum, his upcoming win will be “too big to rig”. (Trump claimed he’s even up in New Hampshire — a quick search shows a tie, but no poll in which Trump is actually ahead.)
Trump turned back to the safety of New Yorkers, once again putting the blame of the “migrant crime” wave onto the Democrats — calling America a “dumping ground” for undesirable citizens from other countries around the world. (Including China) Trump noted that most immigrants are ‘military age’ and wondered if they aren’t building an army right here in America. He then promised the largest deportation effort in the history of the country because “every state is now a border state”.
Trump then proclaimed that once he gets back into the White House, the world will once again respect America — noting there’s no way other countries can respect Joe Biden. Trump then explained the repercussions of allowing criminals back out onto the street after they’re caught and promised to indemnify police officers so they can do their jobs. (Not a huge fan of this.)
The former president turned to the homeless problem in New York, and unsurprisingly promised he would fix the issue very quickly — by re-opening mental asylums and getting the mentally ill off the streets.
Trump then made way for some local politicians — including a black Puerto Rican democrat who gave Trump his endorsement. (Apologies, I missed his name. EDIT: SCA informs me it was Ruben Diaz Sr.) Afterward, Trump rattled off a few names of people to thank.
After a few brief speakers, Trump once again praised the crowd for the “lovefest” and promised to never touch Social Security and Medicare. Shockingly, he then proclaimed that he wouldn’t allow schools to implement covid vaccine or mask mandates. (!!!!)
Wrapping up his speech, Trump emphasized the need to vote in November, telling people not to give up just because they live in a blue state. After spending a few more minutes praising New York City, Trump once again predicted a victory too big to rig.
The full speech is below: (Trump takes the stage roughly 40 minutes in)

But, but, but... Cohen's bitch, Warp Speed, jabs saved LOADS, Trump Tower Black Cube Satanic Masonic architecture, Zionist Palestinian killer. FFS, he is one of them. The lesser of two evils is STILL EVIL.
Thanks for that. It is certainly looking hopeful. It looks like it will be a landslide. Maybe they won't be able to manufacture enough votes or take Trump votes away as they did in Pennsylvania.
